Texas State students’ thoughts on sexual assault By Indey Whigham Imw4@txstate.edu SAN MARCOS, Texas - From students to professors, on Oct. 25 through Nov. 1, the population of Texas State University were interviewed to hear their beliefs on sexual assault and how to further prevent attacks. Sarah Jimenez, a health fitness and exercise major at Texas State, believes that sexual assault is not only a problem on campus, but a problem in general. “Speak more about it before the fact and not after an attack through email,” Said Jimenez when asked how Texas State University could help. Eddy Guevara, a senior at Texas State University, claims that it is not a huge problem on campus compared to his experiences in the military. “Especially being in the military, there was always disgusting sexual advances towards women,” said Guevara.
